ENHANCEMENT PARTS FOR:
TRUMPETER RMS TITANIC | 1:200

Anyone building the Trumpeter 1:200 Titanic model kit will be aware of many aftermarket enhancement kits now available. One of the things that frustrated me was you can only buy full kits. Meaning you end up doubling on parts you don't need. Thus wasting money. I decided to help modellers who just want to purchase the actual parts they need.

I also realise that there are details missing from the Trumpeter kit and other aftermarket kits that I wanted to create. So that with the help of my kits and others, modellers can make their Titanic model as close to a museum quality piece as possible.

CHEMICAL PHOTO ETCHING

Chemical photo etching is a process used to create intricate metal designs or components by selectively removing metal from a sheet or plate. The process involves the use of a photosensitive material called a photoresist, which is applied to the metal surface. The photoresist is then exposed to UV light through a stencil or pattern, causing it to harden in the exposed areas.

The unexposed areas of the photoresist are then dissolved away with a chemical etchant, leaving behind the desired design or component. The metal sheet is then washed and dried, and the remaining photoresist is removed.
